How do I use this again???
MY GOODNESS THIS HAS GOTTEN COMPLICATED!!!
I suppose it's been a good year and a half since I've really visited xanga... amazing how things change. It took me a good 10 minutes to figure out how to add a new entry (imagine how dumb I felt when I saw the big illustrated icon that said "Add Weblog" right at the top) and I have no idea what these credits are and why they keep telling me how to earn them.
Some friends mentioned xanga a few days ago and I thought I'd go back and look at some of my old entries today. Man did I love xanga!!! I used to be the self-proclaimed #1 xanga addict! I had a lot of fun reading through my old entries and wish I had kept up better these past few years.
I know not a lot of people read xanga anymore... but I think I'm going to make a xanga comeback more for myself to spill my random musings, not to collect comments and eProps
Random brain spewings with no intellectual value to follow...
-- I want to try pilates but have no idea how to start. Those machines look like torture devices to me but I still really want to try it... I'll probably try the gym but I need some sort of intro class. No way I'm going to just jump in with all those long lean pilates-crazy women!
-- Super Excited for January 20th!! I still get chills just thinking about Grant Park in November... can't imagine how DC in January will be
-- After 2+ years, I am still crazy about Daniel
He is so good to me and I know he truly loves me with his everything. I'm very thankful that we have such a good relationship with no major fights... the fact that we are doing so well during these hard times gives me great comfort.
-- Philippine Brand Dried Mangos from Costco are so yummy.
That's all for now. If xanga is too complicated maybe I will revive my blogspot. Or write facebook posts. Or give twitter a try. Too many choices!!

Joyce asked if I got a new xanga...... I didn't. I'm just really bad at updatingMy life isn't boring... in fact, I feel it may be as exciting as it's ever been...
I just don't have much to say anymore... sometimes there are things I want to write but once I type it all in, I decide that it's not really worth people's time to read.SO ... here's my update in case you care...... and I wouldn't want to waste your time! I hate it when people waste my time.But then again... I'm always really happy when I see someone update. Even if it's a simple smiley face entry. It brings me joy to see that one of my friends is happy and that something is going great enough in their life to merit a smiley face entry!But maybe that's just me...(but i don't think it is)
:: Family... doing wonderful as always. Little sisters are home for the summer and I always have the best time hanging out with them! They always bring a smile to my face when I'm down. My parents are as happy and healthy and supportive as ever... they are doing well so I can't ask for much more. And my big seestur is having a special bday next week - I miss her but she is having fun living her own life on the East Coast, so that makes me happy :)
:: Daniel... incredibly happy when I'm with him. He's still the sweetest and most loving boyfriend ever and I know I'm very lucky to have him... just wish it was more than just on weekends
. I don't know how people do long distance for long periods of time. But I guess we do what we can and see the distance as just making us a stronger couple 
. Houston-Dallas is a lot better than China-Italy, right?
:: Work... love my company. We recently got a new addition to our Dallas office - that makes 4 people! So I had to switch offices and have a really amazing view now.
:: Misc... wedding season = craziness! And I love it! I love weddings and am so excited to see my friends make the commitment. It's nice to be part of the happiest day of someone's life. Weddings are happy occassions.
:: Misc... my hatred for birds has been reconfirmed. There's this annoying bird that begins coo-ing every morning at 7AM and wakes me up before my alarm goes off. It's like the bird is sitting on my window ledge with a megaphone-shaped beak coo-cooing directly towards my bed. If I wasn't so tired then I'd wake up and go throw things at it.

It's so pretty outside... I wish I was out there instead of in a stuffy office building
I recently watched "The Secret"... it's a documentary-type film about the Law of Attraction. It's been pretty well publicized (it was on Oprah!! - haha) - they basically tell you that your thoughts become things... that your thoughts and feelings manifest into real-life events and happenings... by really concentrating and focusing on what you want, you can get/achieve anything you want - whether it's to get out of debt, to overcome some sort of obstacle, to get that new bike you want, to become a millionaire, etc.
It sounds kind of out there, but it's really interesting and uplifting... very self-empowering. I recommend it to everyone - even if you don't think it's as powerful as they claim, I do think that there's a lot you can take away from it! Watch it! I share because I care. hee hee.
I've been reconnecting with some old friends lately. I've been really bad at keeping in touch with people over the years, but it's nice to see that some friendships are just as strong as they were before. You know that a friendship is true when you can get together with them and nothing has changed even though everything is different.
Since this is such a sappy, feel-good entry... I'll continue by gushing about how happy I am right now. I'm happy in my relationship with Daniel. I'm happy that I have the best family (although I wish I got to see all of them more). I'm happy at my job. I'm happy with where I am in life. I'm happy I get to go to an afternoon of lunching/drinking in an hour. And I'm happy that Daniel will be there when I get home.
AND we're going to the zoo this weekend!!! Who wouldn't be happy about that!?!?

Isn't it sad how slow xanga has gotten? Even I forget to check it sometimes... and I used to be the ultimate xanga fan. I wonder if people who got lifetime premium xanga ever regret that purchase...

hello hi!! I broke my phone when I was in Chicago and pretty much lost all my phone numbers... so if I don't call you (I'm really bad about calling people to begin with) or if I text you back asking "Who is this?", please don't be offended. I'm slowly starting to ask people for their numbers
Last year, I gave up french fries for my non-Catholic-Lent... (until I had 2 "supportive" friends give up healthy lungs to protest me giving up fries... booo.
)... this year I am expanding it to fried foods in general. I'm a bit unsure as to what that encompasses... do pan-fried and stir-fried dishes count? Fried eggs and fried rice? I'll probably just stay away from all of them... but for now I know deep fried foods are out of the question!ummmm ... other ramblings...
... i miss french fries & wings already...

:: Only Hello Kitty can pull of wearing a shirt, pants, and slippers with her own face on them. Anyone else would look ridiculous! She just looks so darn cute.
:: The soft shell crab at Sushi Sakana (in Plano) is really good. Tuna tower is really good there too. yummyyyyyy!
:: As Milly said to Johnny in the movie... you have a calming effect on me. :)
:: I need to do a better job about keeping in touch with my old friends - I know they'll always be there for me because they're my true-blues, but I've been horrible at picking up the phone and calling them and catching up... maybe I'll give up being a bad friend for Lent, too! ... if only I had their phone numbers...
